This is the first time for me to go abroad, so plenty of things are new for me. It is easy for me to find differences between Japan and Australia.

First, I was surprised at public transportation. It is the same as Japan that buses and trains are the main transfer though trains are more popular than buses in japan. The most surprising means of transportation is ships. There are no great river in Japan  that ships are sailing along and many people use them to commute like the Brisbane River. Moreover, I was also surprised at the buses. In Japan, there are indication in the buses which tells us the next bus stop for us to know when we should push the button. However, there is no such indication in buses here in Brisbane. I was so confused and insecure about taking buses at first.

Second, there are some differences in food and prices. There are some bigger food here than Japan. The price is also big, I mean, high. To take an example, looking at a bottle of coke is easy to see the difference in food prices. In Australia, the price of one bottle of coke is $3.5 in supermarkets while that is roughly $1.5 in Japan.

Lastly, I want to write the most annoying thing, is different so much from Japan. It is a wild animal. Every morning, I heard strange calls from outside. They are from wild birds (I don’t know their names) and I had never heard such big calls before.

I have experienced lots of things. Not everything is good, but I enjoy most of them.
